Chase + Megan

Chase and Megan were married 6/26 in Eau Galle, Wi.  The ceremony was held at St. Henry Parish which sits along the lake - making it a wonderful location to have a summer wedding.

It may be cliche’ but Chase and Megan are such a wonderful couple and were fun to photograph. They both were up for pretty much anything I suggested. As you can see from the pics, I’m totally a fan of old buildings…esp ones I haven’t been to before! I ended up taking a “zillion” shots because everything turned out perfect, from the flowers to the reception games.  It was a good reminder of why I love to shoot weddings, they are just plain fun!

Happy skydiving guys!!!! ;)

Megan Cummings - LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the preview! Can’t wait to see the rest! Thanks a million Shawn!July 13, 2010 – 10:10 am

Matt + Valeri

Matt and Valeri were married 6/12 in Chippewa Falls, WI.  I’ve done a number of weddings in Chippewa Falls over the years but somehow this was my first appearance at Notre Dame .  Everyone there was so nice and outgoing that I could not think of a nicer place to be.

My only contact with Matt and Valeri prior to the ceremony was over the phone a couple times and via their wedding planner – The Wedding Genie (she does an outstanding job!) .   Having only met them face-to-face before the ceremony, I felt as if I had known both for much longer which made everything so relaxed.   Well, except for the excited Groom before the ceremony  ;)

The day ended at Wild Ridge with a few sprinkles but it didn’t stop this bunch from having a great time.  Their friends and family sure know how to dance!

valeri - thank you so much shawn! i’m don’t consider myself a “picture-person” but the pics look amazing :) June 26, 2010 – 6:01 pm

Melinda Duncan - Shawn, you really are an amazing photographer! I love these pictures of Matt & Valeri. Look forward to working with you again soon!July 6, 2010 – 12:20 pm

NICK + ABI

Nick & Abi were married 6/11 in La Crosse, WI.  Talk about extremes, we took their engagement shots during the freezing and blowing cold of winter and this day felt like Mid-Summer.   Outdoor weddings always have a weather element to them so I’m so, soo happy that all the “Thunderboomers”  stayed away!

If you are in the La Crosse area and haven’t checked out The Waterfront Restaurant and Tavern, please do so! The food, staff and atmosphere can’t be beat.  The pier is right out front and serves as a beautiful location for any wedding.   To top it off, Nick’s mom made 1200 of the best cookies ever in lieu of a cake.

The day ended with the bridal party coming out to the fountain singing “I’ll Be There For You”  so I had to snap a few pics of that of course.  Congrats!

Abi - They are beautiful!!!! Thank you so much. I can’t wait to see the rest!June 25, 2010 – 5:23 pm

Andy + Jenni

Andy and Jenni were married 6/5 in Eau Claire. I know Andy  and Jenni pretty well, so I could not be any happier for the couple.

Most weddings have their challenges during the course of the day, some more and some less.  Naturally these challenges don’t seem so funny when they occur but at the same time they will be things you can look back and laugh at.

This wedding certainly did have a few more challenging ”events” than normal, like when Jenni and her bridesmaids had to remake the bouquets shortly before the ceremony and when no one told the groom it was time to come out and everyone was wondering where he was????  When things happen, you can see how much the bride and groom are in love because these two pulled together and had a great time, I know all of us in attendance did!!!

Andy’s alter ego “The Stacheman” even made an appearance, how cool is that!  Although it’s not pictured here, it was even funnier when “The Stacheman” got “iced”.  Enjoy!!!!

Jenni - Shawn, you are amazing! Thank you for everything! You definitely went above and beyond the call of duty that day. You are a miracle worker. :) You captured our day perfectly.June 10, 2010 – 2:06 pm

Jenni - love the mustaches!June 10, 2010 – 2:43 pm

Chase + Megan

Chase & Megan are getting married 6/26 in Eau Galle, WI and I’m so looking forward to it!  We actually got together earlier this year for some pre-engagement pics, fighting through the cold and snowdrifts.   If you look back in our blog you’ll notice they are the couple with the cute Eskimo kiss pic.

Megan really wanted some spring time pics for their engagement book so I was more than happy to meet up and shoot them again. Being pretty spur of the moment with my camera,  I decided to shoot at an overlooked spot that I haven’t tried yet while we were driving to a different location.  I think I had Chase & Megan scratching their heads at first but the scenery there was fantastic, with almost a desert feel.  After that we headed to old town EC and got a few more fun pics in to wrap up.

Craig + Laurie

Craig and Laurie were married on July 4th, 2009 and I was fortunate enough to be able to photograph the reaffirmation of their vows on Saturday, May 29th in Black Creek, WI.

With Craig being in the military this was kind of a whirlwind event.  They drove 18 hrs up from Georgia late in the week and had to head back already on Monday and may be off to Germany soon.   As long as you have a great supporting cast and family, everything always works out.

I loved the wagon ride out to the old family farm.  I totally impressed the wedding party with my driving skills where I was able to steer with one hand and shoot with the other at the same time (we were going a whopping 11mph) – Enjoy!
