Shawn is celebrating his 34th birthday today and we went bowling! We had a blast – tons of games and pizza…the kids were in all their glory!

Shawn got his new lens in the mail today! Its a Canon 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro that he’ll use for Newborn photography…but I’m loving it!!! I made Kate model for me tonight…usually she’s pretty mellow but she’s in a crazy mood tonight! I can’t decide whether it’s from tomorrow being the last day of school or just being your typical 11 year old! Brennan on the other is hand is ALWAYS crazy…and dirty! Ahhhh….summer!

I absolutely love living in a small town! It’s usually quiet, but this weekend is the 51st annual Broiler Fest with live music, rides, and famous charcoal chicken! The town is swarming with crowds all there for the hot rod burn out, , volleyball tournament, kiddie parade, tractor pull, beer tent (ok, I realize 98% are there for this alone!), old timer’s parade and the grand parade on Sunday afternoon. Gosh, I sound like an infomercial!
We’re busy with Kate and all the events she’s involved in! She was in 2 talent shows, played in the band, and marches on Sunday…the kids are having a blast on the rides! It’s so much fun! It’s gorgeous weather and summer is finally here! Enjoy!

You know the saying “The cobbler’s children have no shoes”…it’s never more true than for photographers…I feel like we NEVER get pics of our kids! So just for fun I took pics (Yes -ME!!) of Kate and our Goddaughter, Ally. The ones of Brennan below were from a few Shawn took of him earlier this year…
These aren’t really our traditional style of portraits, but I was feeling creativeI love anything vintage, so I wanted to get some cool old looking portraits for our house…

Our whole family was in Shawn’s sister’s wedding this past weekend! I can’t believe she’s married!!! I remember when she was SEVEN!! That’s crazy! Anyways, she’s all grown up and married to one of the greatest guys in the world! Love you both!

I think this shot is so sweet. It’s Shannon, her BFF Jessie and Shannon’s half sister Erin. We were mocking Erin all day…Shannon was so calm cool and collected…but Erin – is a detail/control freak! Ohhh – don’t worry…she ADMITS it!She was Shannon’s Maid of Honor…so we started calling her MOzilla! Lol…
I know Adam will kill us for this one…but it was tooo hilarious not to post! I seriously can’t stop laughing! He looks like he just got goosed!!!
Lol…I love this one too! Brennan looks like GQ Smooth! That dress looked so awesome on Kate with her curly red hair! Of course she complained throughout the entire day…she was so tortured in a dress! She’s our tomboy!
